A Special Message to Our Six Chuter Friends

2016 has really been another spectacular year for Six Chuter Powered Parachutes and we want to wish all of our staff, family, friends, pilots, business partners and prospective customers a special Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

This article is a quick summary of 2016 and a bit of a forward look to 2017.

THE SIX CHUTER TEAM

Tom Connelly

Tom Connelly our Operations Manager continues to do the hard work and lead production and distribution.  This year he trained with Perry Robertson, P3 Sports so that Tom could do more of the full Paragon 912 work at the factory.

Jacky

Jaclynn Osborne (AKA Jacky) joined the Six Chuter team full time and has been a huge asset to the company.  She is able to do full airframe assemblies and also does a great job of organizing shipping and receiving and is becoming more and more involved with sales.

Rolando Santiago continues to do a great job with customer technical support, and sales calls.  And he continues to do maintenance and support on refurbishing preowned units for resale.

Perry Robertson, P3 Sports has been incredible front line support particularly on our SLSA units and 912 units.  His work on aircraft, inspections, our manuals and in teaching staff has been “above and beyond.

Mark Martin is our lead FAA Examiner, CFI, Production Flight tester and all around support in the field. Dan Bailey (founder of Six Chuter Inc.) continues to be our “Maytag Repairman” and always available with advice, support and leadership.

We have made a lot of progress in 2016 in better organizing the entire Six Chuter operation.  We have increased capacity in the hangar, updated and improved all of our manuals, updated our FAA proofs of compliance and automated nearly all of our office functions.  We are indeed in great shape for 2017

2016 Summary

This is a brief flash of key activities and personalities in 2016.  It is by no means everything or everyone who has been involved with us throughout the year, as that would take a book.

The year started by finishing another beautiful Paragon for Yk Mok, our Distributor in South Korea. Ali  Alisheri and his family visited us at the Six Chuter factory. Ali is working with us to establish a Six Chuter partnership in Saudi Arabia.

Nir Meirav our Israel Distributor started the year with a container full of powered parachutes, and ended the year with a second making him our top selling representative for a few years running.

Dan Morgan, our new West Virginia Dealer and Bill Nelson our Eastern Washington Flight Center Manager both ordered up top of the line, loaded, CFI Paragons during the first quarter.  Dan traveled to Washington to train with Mark Martin.  Bill tagged along with Doug Maas to learn the FAA inspection process.

Johan Spangenberg, South Africa joined our team as our representative in South Africa and plans to use a Six Chuter Spirit in his aerial surveillance business

Mark Martin, N.W. Light Sport stepped up to a new Paragon Hdlx, fully loaded. Chaim Binnenbaum ordered a new Paragon with some new extras and Nir Meirav ended the year with a special order Paragon si (special israel) edition.  Each of these units has helped our top of the line model evolve to be one of the best powered parachutes in the world.

Our P3 Lite continues to “take off” with regular sales throughout 2016.  Many of these have been built by customers with surprising speed to complete.  Sean Curry, Wisconsin Aerosports and Larry Kleczka have been particularly helpful in improving design.  Larry is adding some very cools stuff to customize his.

Arlington Airshow 2016 was damp and cold and one of the least flying event years ever.  But that didn’t dampen the fun we had

Larry Howe, Sacramento Powered Parachutes announced his move to Florence Oregon.  Larry has been our “lone wolf” in California and now will be the only active dealer and PPC instructor (that we are aware of), Oregon.  That is great for us in that territory but would have been a loss for California.  Except for the fact, at the same time, Ken Schwartz, Light Sport Aviation has announced his intention to sign on with us as our California Flight Center Manager.  This is all in process and a real win for the West Coast Six Chuter network.

Tom Sabo, Idaho Powered Parachutes is one of our owners who built his own P3 Lite from kit.  We were so impressed with his work and attention to detail that we are in process of partnering with him to complete the first Skyeryder II, along with manuals and documentation so that we can move this ABLSA model to market. The Skyeryder II is the latest design of Dan Bailey, founder of Six Chuter Inc. and is intended for kit builders who want to certify their aircraft under the Amateur Build Light Sport Rules.

Tyler Sepp and Leo Tocchinni opened Eagle Sport Aviation in Arizona, just before they deployed (U.S. Army Pilots) to Kuwait.  They are returning in December and are partnering with Six Chuter to prototype the Paragon with a new four stroke engine.  That engine is the Aeromomentum engine.  It is 100 h.p engine and retails at half the cost of a Rotax so may result in our Paragon being the most cost effective four stroke equipped Powered Parachute in the world.  Tyler and Leo will be building their flight center near Peoria Arizona.

You can see from this glimpse at Six Chuter 2016 that we are well staged for leading the sport of powered parachutes throughout the world.  And we are looking forward to 2017
